Employee

Employee permits are NOT valid at individual meters, pay-by-plate only lots, university vehicle spaces, loading zones, visitor/patient spaces or unauthorized leased spaces. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking spaces to have valid parking. Permits are not valid during special events. PLEASE CALL PARKING SERVICES IF UNABLE TO COMPLETE ONLINE TRANSACTIONS.

Permits are valid only on vehicles registered to your permit with Parking Services. Your MSU ID will work to open gated lots. If having issues with gate access please contact our office at 517-355-8440.

ONLY PERMIT HOLDERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARK AND USE A PERMIT’S PRIVILEGES. Unauthorized transfer or use of a permit and/or gate access privileges will result in confiscation, and termination of privilege(s) for at least the balance of the registration period. Parking violations may also be issued for unauthorized use of the permit and/or gate access.

If you will be on leave, or are no longer employed by MSU, then you MUST return your permit either by mail or through our online form:
