Parking Violations

All parking violations must be paid or appealed within seven (7) days from the date of issuance. If a violation is not properly cleared within seven (7) days, a $10 late fee will be added to the fine. The vehicle's owner is sent an overdue notice regarding outstanding violations after 14 days. Violations that remain unpaid after 28 days will incur a second $10 late fee.

In addition, unpaid violations will cause withholding from class registration or other appropriate action. Longer delays in payment will result in the use of a collection service with additional fees. Unpaid violations will eventually be transferred to 54-B District Court where warrants may be issued and additional fees added. If you have six or more unpaid parking violations, your vehicle may be impounded under provisions of state law and local ordinance.
