COMPLIMENTARY PARKING

December 16, 2024 - January 12, 2025: Pay-by-plate and metered areas will be complimentary between fall and spring semesters. Permit only and patient only lots will continue to be enforced. Any overnight restrictions still apply. Special events may impact entry and fees for certain lots.

December 24, 2024 - January 1, 2025: Campus will be closed for winter break; parking will be complimentary. Any overnight restrictions still apply. Special events may impact entry and fees for certain lots.

 

IN-PERSON OFFICE CLOSURE: The Parking Office will be closed to in-person services on Friday, December 20th and Monday, December 23rd. Online services will be available 24/7 and phones will be answered during normal business hours. 

Fall 2024 Move Out

Fall move out takes place the week of December 9-13, 2024. While most of campus will be enforced like normal, some areas will become 20 minute loading zones to assist with leaving for winter break. Check out eligible areas for your residence hall.

Current parking rates and ticket prices are approved by the Board of Trustees and support parking and safety services. The Parking Office provides parking services to students, staff and visitors of Michigan State University. Parking Services is a self-supporting auxiliary that is not funded by state taxes or student tuition. Parking operations, maintenance and development expenses are funded by revenue generated from the sale of parking services. All fees collected from paid violations fund safety systems on campus such as the Emergency Green Light Phones.
